Description
ACRYLITE® LED rod is ideal for transmitting high-powered LED light. Its unique light-conducting properties distribute light evenly throughout the entire rod surface. As light enters from the end, embedded colorless diffuser particles scatter the light forward and exit the surface at low angles. This results in uniform bright illumination. ACRYLITE® LED light-guiding rods are the only product on the market today offering light transmission in a round rod form.

- L (0E011) - for applications in lengths up to 24"

Fabrication
This material can be machined using the same methods as standard extruded acrylic rod. Diamond milling or flame polishing the rough end will reduce loss of light upon entry by as much as 6% compared to a sawed edge. It is possible to matte the surface of the rod through sandblasting or matte lacquer. However, this can lead to irregular lighting and decrease the luminance as the rough surface disperses the light.
Uniform Illumination
Illuminated by LED lights at one or both ends, it disperses light evenly throughout, whereas conventional acrylic rod glow only at one end. Additionally, ACRYLITE® light guiding rod can be easily formed into shapes and letters without compromising functionality.

It is available in 2000mm (78.7”) length.
*Light length assumes using 120° view angle light source. Using a narrower beam will increase light length with uniform results. When lighting from one end, light length is cut in half.
