Description
Phenolic CE Molded Natural Round Rod Description
Phenolic rods are a hard, dense material made by applying heat and pressure to fiber or fabric with synthetic resin. As one of the oldest and best-known general-purpose thermoset resins, Phenolics are lightweight—about half the weight of aluminum—and possess a unique combination of properties. Phenolic CE (Canvas Electrical Grade) Rods exhibit good mechanical and impact strength, with a continuous operating temperature of up to 250°F.
This material is particularly well-suited for use in explosion-proof environments and is commonly used to make gears, pulleys, rollers, and guides, as well as electrically insulated parts such as control boards. Phenolic CE is an excellent insulator, offering good acid resistance, low voltage, and low-frequency electrical performance. It is easily machined and exhibits good mechanical strength, making it a durable and stable material at an economical price.
