Description
Vespel SP-1 Natural Plate Overview
Vespel® SP-1 is a high-performance polyimide material known for its exceptional thermal resistance and high mechanical strength. It is used in various demanding applications where other plastics may fail. This unfilled grade offers the highest mechanical properties among the Vespel grades, making it ideal for applications requiring low wear and long life in severe environments.
- Excellent temperature resistance up to 500°F (260°C) continuously, and up to 900°F (482°C) intermittently.
- Superior wear resistance and low friction in high-stress environments.
- Good resistance to a broad range of chemicals.
- Excellent dimensional stability and radiation resistance.
