Teflon Virgin Natural Sheet Description
PTFE (PolyTetraFluoroEthylene), commonly known as Teflon, is a fluorocarbon-based polymer renowned for its outstanding chemical resistance, low friction, and high purity. It is highly suitable for applications involving high temperatures, harsh chemicals, and where contamination must be minimized. PTFE is self-lubricating, exhibits a very low coefficient of friction, and is nearly universal in its chemical compatibility. PTFE sheets are ideally suited for the manufacture of high-temperature seals, insulators, and bearings. It is often used in environments that require high thermal and electrical insulation properties and can be used over a wide temperature range of -100°F to +400°F (-73°C to 204°C).
PTFE is particularly valuable in applications requiring a material that is non-reactive, does not absorb moisture, and offers excellent dielectric properties. Due to its high molecular weight, PTFE is not easily melted, making it ideal for demanding applications where other plastics might fail.
